Description

In the mid-1980s successful Indycar team boss Carl Haas started his own F1 team, with a big-money sponsor, turbo engines from Ford, and 1980 world champion Alan Jones as star driver. It had all the ingredients for success – including Ross Brawn and Adrian Newey – yet after its first full season it was gone forever. This is the story of how F1’s first Haas team, which has no connection to the current iteration on the grid, failed in such a short space of time
