Dakar 2023: Astara is powered by e-fuel

The ASTARA TEAM is returning to the greatest challenge in motorsports, the Dakar Rally, with the firm intention of making its mark on the race. We are coming back to keep learning from experience and to prove that technological excellence and competition at the highest level are absolutely compatible with respect for the environment and diversity.

Once again, we are entering a lightweight, e-fuel powered vehicle, the ASTARA 01 CONCEPT, a refined version of last year’s model. As might be expected, we will be auditing our carbon footprint, which after setting the bar high in 2022, the team has redoubled its efforts to be even more sustainable in 2023. In our opinion, the ASTARA 01 is the best solution to compete in the Dakar Rally in a sustainable fashion.

This 2WD, category T1.3 buggy, powered by sustainable fuel, is the lightest vehicle in its category, with only 1,590 kilos of unladen weight, thanks to the use of lightweight materials and mechanical simplicity.
